Default Why didn't they do this!!!?

Ive been wondering about this recently and it really annoyed me at the time....
Why didn't the top producer's and labels of europe (especially the german labels) in the LATE 90's ...Late 90's remember... give u the chance to play there tracks at a faster speed by not leaving enough pitch control space to really pace things up!???
Because ive just recently got aload of late 90's classics put onto dubplates and got the bloke to cut them so that they play at +16 on the dex and they sound ****in excellent at this faster speed!!. much better to there normal speed.
Example : dj mind x - nightingale suspicious remix

I think this was a very bad mistake to make these tracks play at this controlled speed, they should have gave us the chance to play these tunes at the proper crazy party speed that these tunes do the most damage!! and have the most effect...and i also think this was a deliberate attemt to slow things down?
Maybe the producers were getting too old or just couldn't cope with the speed anymore?
Maybe if they left enough pitch space to play these ALOT faster there still might be a "fast european hard-trance scene" like the way it was in the mid 90's??
I donno what do u think....

can see what you mean mate but theres only a few tunes that id like pitching up a bit on a whole. Aeon Fx- Research (dos or die) Monitini Experiance 3 'the box' springs to mind whcih surely sounds shit loads better with an extra 5-10 bpm. Anyone agree?

If you go to far the kicks and the synths lose there feel and sound like happy hardcore.

Think when it began to get slowed down a lot in 1998/1999 was down to the trance sound as a whole getting commercial. Once that sound was slowed down I guess producers just got used to it. Im sure theres an interview on the net with mzone talking about the big drop in bpms around that time but its no coincidence the mainstream sound of trance was getting bigger and the lure of ££ was too much for producers not to have a go making it slower.i.e. Taucher/Tiesto/Timo Mass?
    something for your mind.........
