Default cubase recording issue. Anyone experience this?

    hey guys,

trying to record midi knob automation on my Nord Lead 2.

For some strange reason, if i press play in cubase and play with my knobs in real time, i can hear the difference in sound (which is what i want). HOWEVER, when i try to record these midi automations, i can see cubase recording it, but i cant hear the audio while its recording, so its basically useless since i dont know how it sounds until AFTER i stop recording and press play.

    I find this very strange.....

Am i supposed to somehow link an audio track in there somewhere to listen to my audio while recording the midi? Because ive done that but it still wont work.

    argghhhh!!! any sugggestions? ;)

Hmmm... are you making sure that the record is only active on the MIDI tracks, and not the audio tracks that the audio is routed to?

create a 2nd midi track that is connected to the nord and record on one and play on the other.
