Default Paul Bailey & Tioneb @ Electric City

    Thursday August 7th

Paul Bailey [House Of God / 1881 Records - Birmingham]
    Tioneb [Toulouse - France]

    Admission 5 euro.

This Thursday Paul Damage, a frequent visitor to Ireland over the last
couple of years, will be playing Electric City. This date is
part of a small Irish tour that also sees him playing Perpetual in Belfast
    and Subversive in Waterford.

Paul has been resident at the legendary House of God club in Birmingham
alongside the likes of Surgeon and Regis since it began over a decade ago.
This high profile residency has seen him play alongside many of the biggest
names in techno. His skills as a DJ are second to none and he regularly
thrills crowds in France, Belgium, Holland, China, Singapore and Malaysia.

As well as keeping a hectic DJ schedule, Paul somehow finds the time to run
his own label, 1881 Records. So far, 1881 Records have released 4 EP's and
can cite Jeff Mills, Surgeon, John Peel and Dave Clarke as dedicated label
    followers.

Support comes from Tioneb aka Benoit Pueyo. Hailing from Toulouse, France
this will be Benoits first time to play in Ireland. He is influenced by the
sounds of Detroit techno and his mixing skills are similar in style to his
heroes Claude Young and Jeff Mills. Benoit will be playing from 11 till 1 so
make sure to get down early and check him out.

Last time he was here he ended up playing stuff like Catscan, Industrial Strength 160 bpm style for the last half! I remember the face of the promoter just dropping, he wasn't impressed!! Everyone else was though :) Thursday should be good..

He done some damage! Not loads(But a bit) of the kind of stuff you'd associate with his productions but still quite hard (Speedy J etc.) , a good bit of old stuff in there too. Tonieb (Who is on the board i think) played a very nice set before him, good technique and choice of records.

Decent enough, lots of the regular die harders there so there was a good atmosphere...Thursday after the Bank Holiday wasnt gonna be the busiest but it went well. Damage has been well received in Dublin, he's always put on a good show..

hehe, yeah his tunes have an edge, I hope the Integrale situation doesn't slow up things too much for his label. Nice geezer alright.
