    Default EQing Bass

Anybody got any good tips for eqing bass to sit well with bass drum etc? Just can't seem to get me head round it.

if i cant get it to sit well i just bounce it down and chop out the first 1/4 of each beats worth of bass - that way i cant stuff as much bass as i want in there, and provided you are using a nice weighty kick just a tiny verb on the bass helps them flow into one another and it sound pretty much the same as when you were trying to layer the bass over the kick

dunno - depends on your bass. if it doesn't sound bassy enough then rather than boosting anything do a broad bell shaped cut at around 400Hz and see if it's getting there for you ...

for eqing i tend to use a panometic on a bass , and to get it to sit with drums look at drum compresison, as the waves c4 always gets my kik sitting rite
