    Default Help with Reason 2.5

    Please can you help?

I have just sat down with a tutorial for Reason 2.5 for the very first time.

Everything was going fine until I came to the section that requires you to plug your midi keyboard (which I don't have) into the Synthesizer to make some notes.

My question is - Do I need a Midi Keyboard? or is there an on board keyboard to do this and if not how do I use the synthesizer?

you can download a virtual keyboard on www.propellerheads.se if you are a registered user. If not, you can use the keyboard that is in the sequencer on the bottom of the reason screen.

A keyboard is not vital, just connect a matrix sequencer to your desired instrument. Normally reason makes the connections on its own as soon as you create matrix right under your instrument. Just draw your notes in the piano roll, hit enable and play....... off you go. Make sure that the instrument is enabled as well.
In this way you can create segments and loops wich you can later then transfer to the arrange mode. Basicly you first focus on the instruments.
