Default What do people want to hear in hard trance?

Just curious to a debate on not what people think will happen to hard trance, but what they want to happen.

I would like to see more concentration on powerful room filling stuff... DJ Wag has been great at this of late. His mix of Red Planet was so hard yet so trancey! - I'd like to see more stuff like this for hard trance.

DJ Wag's mix of Dominating Power was very very good too!

But what tracks have you lot liked/enjoyed of late and thought it was a move in right direction for hard trance?

Havnt seen you for a while mate, you been in hiding??

Yeh i like to see real uplifting melodies, but with a hard punchy kick. Also a good heavy precussion that is noticable.

I think daniel maker - scream or die, was a perfect example of what id like to see happen with hard tance..

    Hi mate!

    - Yeah I good melody with hard delivery! the best of both worlds.

Scream or Die and most hard trance stuff on GAS has been brilliant. True hard trance.

Ado - Roll Of Bass was brilliant! - Andrea Montorsi & Beppi Barrelli are doing good work.

id like to see some experimentation, something a little more artistic, im sick of hearing the same old shit, hard trance is crying out for some innovation right now.

I really like alot of lighter sort of melodic trace such as some of the push stuff & kai tracid, but when hearing it live in a club it sounds too light for me. It would be nice to hear trance like this but with more wieght in the bass & kick to give it a harder edge.

I think hardtrance is diein out ! Mzones playin Hardstyle now and mark eg aint playin it much any more and der the 2 i use to look forward to listenin to when it come to hard trance, dont get me wrong i lik hardstyle more than hardtrance so i hope mzone keeps it up.Round where i live hardtrance was gettin popular and the hard trance section in da record shop round ars was massive but now its virtually empty cause no ones buyin it no more so what happened to hardtrance? 8)

I disagree hard trance is far fromm dead

    Joop "Act of god"
    Thomas Rubin "Cold Night"
    R.O.T.A.R "Converse"
Kan Cold "Do you know it"
    Omega Nine "Blowback"
    Digital Pressure "Unreal"
The Moon feat NuNrg "High volume"

i could go on all day but theses are all wiked hardtrance tunes (although some would class a couple of them as Hardstyle)

    Wag is a class producer!
Scream or Die is a good example of the sound to keep. But i would rather see more tunes produced like 'Yakooza - " Cocaine"

Hard Trance is far from dead. German stuff is still the best on the market, by far.
And If tracid Traxxx and co get back on top it can only get better! Wag is getting back on top form aswell.

I think they need to make it a touch quicker and also a bit tougher. Some of the club stuff at the moment is brill but they need to quicken it up.

    And definately no cheese

I think now that the 'hennes & cold bass' is associated primarily with hardstyle, hard trance can vary it's basslines a bit and go more melodic and even a bit lighter.

i'd like to hear a much harder sound with lots of big kicks and percussion but maintaining that epic and uplifting aspect that labels such as Gas are rinsing. tunes like montorsi's Black Door and Roll of Bass are prime examples of this style.
The Gas boys are definitely taking the sound forward.

Thats a very, very interesting concept. I would like to see the Agressiveness of Hardstyle combined with Uplifting & Powerful melodies.
