Ok, first off, you cant store cd audio at 25kbps, and more to the point, whay would you want to? It would sound like a telephone. This subject has cropped up so many times, try using the search function -

sorry that was ment to say mp3 @ 256kbpsOriginally Posted by IQ
Cd audio does not relate to bitrates used for compression methods. It is basically stored in wav format at a sample rate of 44100, and a bit depth of 16. If your relating this to how it sounds, its about the same quality you would get from 192kb mp3, (most people say 128, but i beg to differ).
Best thing to do is record your mix of whatever going onto cd as a 16 bit, 44100 wav, and that way you wont lose any quality through needless compression..
no you see what i trying to do is put all my mix albums on my ipod but i want each one as one complete track (so i just need to remove the track marks) the bit rate does'nt really have anything to do with it as one i have the file i can convert it into whateverOriginally Posted by IQ
Ah right, you want to rip a mix cd to mp3.
Soundforge or Wavelab are the best bets. There are free programs out there for this, but i dont know them myself.
if you already have your mixes on cd then just use a cd ripper. i think even windows media player will do this.
will media player rip it and let you leave out the track markers though?Originally Posted by MangaFish
