You can use speech musically of course.
Most of the great writers of the late 20th century dealt with spoken word.
Becket, Burroughs and Bukowski, would have spit to have their art lumped in with music.
It was writing, or prose to them. Routines.
Nothing wrong with that, but I think they are correct, speech is of writing and it deserves it`s own form of art.
