i jus a new set of Behringer Truth 2031A's... and before anyone starts slaggin they were a wedding gift from some friends who know i have to return the borrowed Absolute 2s when i move into the missus' house..

anyhoo, i have a super budget set up..

Pentium 1.4ghz (slow.. really slow)
EMU 0404
Behringer UB1002 mixer
Behringer 2031A Truth monitors.

question is this..

i use the lil behringer mixer as an expander for my stereo in/out on the soundcard. it gives me better routing & means i dont have to pull leads in&out all the time if i wanna hook different kit into the pc.

i'll be having the stereo signal for my work running through the Behringer desk, but only on a stereo channel, with no eq or lo cut.

will the lil desk colour the sound at all ? i like having a mixer at hand instead of having to adjust the volume of the signal to the speakers via the pc control panel.

i'm assuming it will little or difference.

btw, its mostly techno being produced, if that makes any difference.
