Think you could be right in parts mate, things have gone flat but they may pick up. I look at hardstyle as having two aspects ie the more commercial side of things and the more underground hardstyle...which is like hardcore and gabba (the way I like it.)
If these HH dj's play cheesy hardstyle then don't got to these nights. Hardhouse is cheesy anyhow so you would expect them to play the more uplifting end of things. The fact that they throw in loadsa vocals show that they can't layer a set imo.
Go to nights that play the more underground form of hardstyle like Cypher, NEO, North, Diz etc
Can't a genere be big enough to encompass a range of sounds?
I'm off to q-dance this Sat so I'm gonna see a whole new side of Hardstyle.![]()
