    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

New Landstrumm stuff & again, really good live acts also...

seems to me these guys are doing it big time this side of the channel, and whilst I know Landstrumm has played quite often in the UK of late, Youngman hasn't been picked up on.. really think he will go off this year..

also eagerly in anticipation of new techno stuff from Tim Exile after the blinder on Mosquito 23 18 months ago, he has hinted at more techno in the pipeline.. this is something I'm really interested in, more "IDM" artists turning their hand to techno, I thing theres a lot of progress to be made and lessons to be learned from these guys when they are in a more techno framework..

    also
    Audion
James T Cotton "The Dancing Box" LP
    Mr Oizo "Half a scissor"

that's what's doing it for me right now...
    Good recommendations there.
Been really digging Youngman's stuff alright, and he popped in nicely on that recent Tobias Schmidt EP on Input Output... those vocals are brilliant! Looking forward to hearing the Tresor EP... I think Vogel was involved there too?
Re: Landstrumm/Scandanavia - Wasn't as mad on the last Scandanavia ("Sweet Fang") but the two previous to that are outstanding. One way or the other he's taking chances and putting out 'good music', and that's great I hope he's hitting into a new market a little bit now too...

And yeah, I didn't know what to expect but that Mr.Oizo LP (short and all as it is) is really good, inventive stuff...

Another Tim Exile EP on Mosquito could be great, that last one was insane!

Yes, that is an awesome track he did with Toby, I'm still waiting for a copy, Bill hasn't got his promos from I-O yet.. And yes, the Born e.p. was mixed down by Cris, he basically recorded Bill playing live as if he was recording a band, with Miked up guitar amps and other strange production techniques... more info on it here: http://www.no-future.com/erutufon/sh...ad.php?t=18443

A new Exile EP on Mosquito is pretty much out of the question, as they are now defunkt, but I am currently awaiting a demo from him myself, I think he has realised himself how great that record was, and is keen to do more, and I really believe this is what techno needs right now, some fresh blood of innovators (Like Vogel, Landstrumm and even Beltram were back in the day), who turn the whole thing on it's head, and really do something different.. I think Exile and Youngman are both heading this way, good to see..
trouble is a lot of the time you hear stuff like this (the exile mosquito e.p. being a prime example) and it's so far ahead of it's time it goes straight over peoples heads, the needle skims the record 3 or 4 times, and with the lack of a definitive umchiumchiumchi, it puts them off buyin it.. shame really...

and loving the old skool flavours on that Mr Oizo thing..... :)

Wow, they'd wanna get a move on, the next Input Output by Jason Leach has been out a while already. I'll check that link, thanks.

I agree with you there alright, and I'm glad this group of producers are so active at the moment because some of the records have been great and gone in all sorts of directions.

Too bad about Mosquito, but hell if he gives you anything as good as one or two of the tracks on that Mosquito 12", you'll have a mighty record
