Bidule vs MAX/MSP

I got get MAX/MSP for half price because im student. That makes it £175 quid, which is a reasonable price imo

But then I know some people are using this bidule on here? Just wondering whats it like, whats the advantages over max?

MAX is probs one of the best pieces of software i have used, very tempted on buying it out of support. Only thing is it seems a bit long winded if you want to make your own vsti's. If bidule have this sorted I mite try the early bird license if good

if you are on mac, sonicbirth is pretty nice. simple language and powerful enough to create some interesting stuff. mainly for audio units, but can export as vst

The short answer would be pretty much anything. Well for max I think, think reaktor only with C more objects. Cool thing about max is you can make your own objects in script, although you dont have to. Theres addons to get it working with video and images too, all kinds of stuff really. I have a few vsti's and effects built in max and they are my fav plugins
