Default 1stGeneration with Morph Sept 6th @Kiva, Weymouth

    Details of September Event

1stGeneration are pleased to welcome Morph (a.k.a Alex Downey) from Covert records in Brighton to our September event. Morph has gained vast experience over the past 10 years playing at events like the Main Arena at the Essential Festival and alongside some of techno's household names like Hawtin, Garnier, Slater, Clarke, Rush, Carl Cox and Billy Nasty.
We guarantee this man will not disappoint. Miss it at your peril !

Also in keeping with 1stGeneration's policy of supporting and building our local scene, we are happy to give DJ Dave Brown his Weymouth debut. A well known face on the local scene, we're sure this will be the first of many outings for Dave Brown. Get there early to show your support.

As ever, full details can be found
    here

Venue : The Kiva, King Street, Weymouth
    Date : Saturday September 6th 2003
    Time : 9pm - 2am

The clever ones amongst you will already have spotted the deliberate mistake in the above announcement. At this precise moment in time there are no up to date details on our website about the next event due to a variety of problems with viruses, problems with our host and problems with our connectivity. In a nutshell, anything PC related that could have gone wrong this month has gone wrong.

Hopefully the problems will be sorted this evening and the full details and biogs will be uploaded to the site.

Well, we finally beat the gremlins and managed to get an update on the website, so those of you who were asking for more info about Morph can check his biog in the events section HERE

Shameless self promotion, but hey, it isn't every day a bunch of chancers like us get a mention in The Face (p54). 8)

"WEY TO GO: Eclectic Electric is a club in Weymouth, promoted by Rock Apes (a local term for people from the island of Portland), that plays... well, eclectic stuff, but especially techno, electro and, er, ghettotech. Gettotech in Weymouth? Gotta be good." - The Face (Oct 2003)

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Ben for a great set. Well done that man ! If that debut was anything to go by we'll be hearing a lot more from this man in the future. And thanks to the litle crew who turned out to support him. Your support is much appreciated.

Also thanks to Morf for another great set. This guy has got some seriously good tunes and fantastic technique. Where else in Weymouth are you going to get a chance to hear a CDR sneak preview of the Ben Sims remix of Jeff Mills - The Alarms ? Nice ! If you get a chance to see him in the future, don't miss out.

Unfortunately there has been no change with the venue situation (i.e we've still only got one room) and numbers were down again this month so we are having to revue our situation. Expect an announcement here soon, and unfortunately it's probably not going to be good news.

    Peace and respect.
    1stGeneration crew.

Fu.cking right, mate. Plan B will have to be put into effect. We definitely need to get our heads together and shake things up a bit.
