no hardstyle is definitely not, dead record sales are booming, alot of people really love the genre.

hard trance has really suffered recently, i think though you gotta take the best of a genre and try to keep moving forward.

I could have spent an absolute fortune since the turn of the year, managed to limit myself to about 25 tunes in that time and thats probably what I bought in the last 6 months of 2005.....

I think that the Big name Hardstyle producers have been forced to look into being a little different with their productions, and that will only make for a better year than I think we have seen so far, roll on 2006!!

it isn't dad at all.... vinyl sales are very high and a lot of new tunes are being produced, also hardstyle is booming on other developing countries that didn't have a big EDM scene before! :D

Hardstyle is far from dead man :) look at all the new releases for 2006 soon to come :) like ones by the prophet for instance. OG Pimp 2006 is coming out soon I'm anxious for that one as well as his Cocaine Business :) then their are others out already like the mentioned Do You Wanna Balloon, and then of course Coca and Activator have been pushing out some banging tunes. I think mainly that the top producers are experimenting to keep things fresh and once they find another sweet spot things will be booming again :) happens every now and then :)

P.S. plus being a producer of hardstyle I'll never stop hehe :) love that stuff.

I wouldnt say hardstyle is dead, but there is an awful lot of shit hardstyle floodin the market. Cant stand the cheesey breaks which r bein incorporated within the tracks. i say cut out the trancey breaks and make the genre harder!!
