    Dear Rulaz !

    Working on sounds for nearly 12 years now and have a little question...
    if you guys want to tell something about your secrets. :lol:

    Post something about using the band, what sound you send through and and and....

    As with all filtering, use harmonically rich source sounds to get a real effect... Detuned saw waves, made into chords are good! Band pass is an effect really, rather than a tool... Although it can be used to 'bracket' sounds in the mix to stop them treading on the toes of other sounds. In this case, best to use both a low pass and a high pass filter in series to give maximum control. Most EQs allow this. A small amount of resonance will sometimes reinforce the frequencies around the missing chunks, thus compensating for the lost ones.

    As an effect, well, whatever sounds good sounds good.

    band pass and a bit of distortion then mixed back in with the original sound (adjusted for phasing errors if you are working in digital here) is sometimes fun...
