    Bingo! Nailed it right on there... All that's really changed about the sound is the production (bigger kicks, fatter basses etc). Arrangements, melodies, etc have not really changed all that much. This is why I think hardstyle is sort of a sub-genre of hard trance.

    I think there is a lot of hardstyle that is quit different tho, an sounds like it has not come from any sort of hard trance.
    A lot of it ive heard sounds more like hardcore + hardhouse..
    I think you could associate hardstyle as a few different sub genres..

    mate i liked hardstyle before every track was the same kick and bass and everyone loved hardstyle....

    yes i agree but to play a full hour pure HARDSTYLE u need to select ur vinyl well dont buy the tunes if they are all the same veriety i recomend 8) 8) 8) i think HARDSTYLE has already been split into defferent styles the style which is similar to HARDtrance and the bangin style similar to HARDcore gaaba 8) u can pick up original HARDSTYLE track u know 8) 8) 8)
