Didnt he put some crazy price on some standard record he released a couple of years back?

yeh, I think it was 'Every Dog... Vol 3'. Couldn't get it in any shop (in Dublin anyway) for less than €35.

remember the crazy prices for that analord series?

anyway, some dj's are paying 50, 100, 150 euros to other djs for the records that can't be found in shops anymore
not sure if I would do it
    but, its their choice

That's true, but it could equally be said that he's deliberately exploiting the fact that there are hardcore Mills devotees out there - and they will pay anything just so as to not have a gap in their collection.

Personally I have all but 3 or 4 Axis records but when that came along I just though "**** you" and didn't buy it - managed to get it for a tenner in a bargain bin in France later... and it's only OK.

The Prolekult quadruple pack was expensive.
Buying all the Pattern Plays at once was expensive.
    If people love it
Because there are those out there that do.
    It will sell.

Blatant "I need money" merchanidising is just ugly.
As is branding, the scourge of the 90`s.
If he didn`t spout all this damn philosophy all the time, then it would be fine for him to just turn into a dollar suck machine.
However his philosophy mixed with blatant and crass branding, makes him a bit of a dink.

    yeah, this sure is funny
seeing him being all deep and musical on every single interview i watched

i havent laughed like this since the great punk movement
So. Behind their eyes the hope in them was sickening, and in many, dead. They lived from event to event with a subtle terror of the gap between, filling up their lives with distractions to avoid the emptiness where curiosity should have been, and breathing a gasp of relief when the children passed the point of asking questions about what life was for.

I thin kyou miss th epoint, it`s not really about the music, it`s more the philosophical stuff he uses.

hey now...not all of us are materialistic. in fact, i got my set of diamond-encrusted gold teeth and all i had to do is sell my kidney. ;)

    seriously though...

i love his old axis and purpose maker records: they were essential and highly innovative.

i don't care as much for his newer music, but it's still ok.

this s***, however, i don't like at all. but as koma pointed out, i don't have to buy it, do i? and the old records are still essential...
