I think essentially. There`s more opportunity to release in the minimal area, so I can see how a lot of people would move over to it.
However in the long run committing to one sub genre along with everyone else just secures the rinsing of it.
It`s a bit of a catch 22 situation, it would be nice if more people were just more diverse in their ouitput, and techno went back to becoming a big melting pot of dance based futuristic music, however, trends and the market do drive things to an extent.
Money always screws things up.
But what can you do.
