Those were the days, listening to scorpio & producer tapes drinking white cider as a young lad :) . I really used to be into the harder edge techno, not so much of the speedcore though. I do still like hearing it now & again at north, brings back memories of the 'good old days'.
As for hard style its starting to sound boring to me, dont get me wrong I do like some of it & I find it works in small doses such as the odd tune hear & there to brake up a Hard trance set or at the end of a techno set. To me it just sounds to similar to the stuff I was listening to 6 years ago but slower.

first of all what scott brown plays is NOT techno, it's hardcore, and very bad hardcore at that.

hmmm I'm quite into scott brown's style downwards, but I'm more of a freeform/trancecore fan than that hard as nails shit your into!
i'm really not into hardcore techno, its funny to jump around to or bang your head on a speaker at a party for five minutes but I get really bored of it really quickly. i love the gabba sound of the mid-90's, the more down-tempo bouncy stuff and like Tobe am well into the new hardstyle/gabba cross-over tunes.
and HMS and Loftgroover....hard as fcuk! too much for my poor ears
 you a child of the technodrome Si?

yeah not really into this broken beats/breakcore stuff, especially hearing in a club really bores me. Still ok though just prefer 4/4 hardcore techno

Agreed Ed the trancecore (non vocal) tunes that Scott produces are immense ie Viroid and Pilgrim 2000 etc. Have you heard much of the new trancey gabba like Catscan and Promo etc it's like a fusion of trancecore/freeform and gabba.

Got a mix by Ginge coming on my site soon. Tell us what you think.

people like hms and loftgroover producer and scorpio and clarkee.
used to be funky but still hard.
fav tapes have to be the early tommorows world sets.
oh and to boot mc ribbs added to the sound a treat !
