Default My suggestion: A tribute mix to Carl - need ur input plz.

    Hello all,

I've been doing plenty of thinking over the last couple of days and came up with an idea of doing a Tribute mix for Carl, full of his favourite tunes. He loved Hard Trance more than anything (perhaps maybe more than cats!) and I've spoken with Iain Cross who is up for the idea.

As I had set up Carl's Discogs account for him I managed to login and save his collection & wantlist so I know what he owned and what he wanted most, so we can use them in some way.

However, if oyu have any suggestions on some tunes that you knew Carl really liked, then please post and we can get something sorted out.

Carl's favourite producers were Andreas Kraemer & Thomas Pogadl, who I also have to say are my favourite producers, you might know them better as Russenmafia, PGL, SOD, Soulfighter, Aquaplex, Junk Project etc etc etc (their alias list is about a mile long! lol)

I think we should do this as a dedication to Carl's passion for music and his enormous character, which we all loved.

    Cheers,

    Simon

Didn't know the guy, but when it comes to producers he obviously had good taste. Think I'll blast out Aquaplex meets Junk Project/Brightness right now. Here we go.

This is a brilliant idea Simon. I would love a cd to remind me of Carl, maybe produce a cd and sell them and give the proceeds to charity or his family or flowers or something

Carl loved a lot of the Thomas Pogadl & Andreas Kramer hard trance releases from the 2001 era.

    yo!

hope life is treating you good mate.

Really like your idea of doing a tribute mix for Carl. I will do one this week, probably tomorrow or wednesday.

    Probably pick tunes such as...

    SOD - Stomtrooper
    Uluru - Koala Sunrise
    Russianmafia - Afraid Of Us
    Skysurfer - Silence
DJ Futura - Heaven in my hands
Russianmafia mixes of "Rythem" & "Future" on phonetic records
    Ray Clarke - Reality
    Impermangenate Syndrome - Low Down

Will upload as soon as I can.

Made me wanna shed a tear when i read this , nice one peeps

Would it be aloud to to have donations via paypal to say maybe BOAs account and all preceedings go to his family ?

Save the hassle of going through the huge slog of actually selling ?

Or would that make more , more the better

Love ya all , loved carl

If It it is about carl cosby if it is that is really sad. I heard great things about him, he might of loved Records on technoclub fog area and suck me plasma.

Hello hakka remember you from the cracking 4 CD premonition pack that I bought while watching Blutonium Boy play at Premonition. DJ Rob start playing, Derler and Klitzing lift me up, Nitro D free message Aikon Rmx and Mono Guru keep walking/Keep on were the highlights for me.

What about setting a tribute night for him get friends and family around show photos and videos of his DJ sets.

I realise that now i'm really sorry. thanks simcut for letting me know saw it on a forum that carl bury had died and thought oh dear, thought carl cosby was a stagename you know took i thought he took it from the cosby show feel like a right t*t now!

still it would be great to set up a tribute night by getting some of his friends and his favourite dj's to perform sets and the money will either go to his family or to charity. It's great to remember the best times and your friends.

The perfect track tuned universe on reality bites records. If you can find that track it is something very special indeed.
