Default Marcelinho Cic - Buena Vista EP - Zenit #29

Marcelinho Cic - Buena Vista EP - Zenit #29

    A: Buena Vista - http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/zenit29/a/
B: Buena Vista (WJ Henze remix) - http://www.bangingtunes.com/play/zenit29/b/

Loving this. Nothing ground breaking at all but a really solid release IMO. Nice trancey sounding A-side and a fat WJ Henze reworking on the flip. This will deffo do wonders on the dancefloor.

Solid work on the A. Way too cheesy with the orchestra, even for me, but I can see this crossing over and getting big plays from the likes of preach, delgardo etc.
Well done if it`s his first release.

I prefer the Henze rework on this, but damn, that orchestra stab.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

No offense to Marcelinho (I haven't listened to this) but I think Zenit should have been shut down a year ago after Carola left the label and ELP.

Don't think so. Tommie Nevada is just the cellar boy as far as I know... "Tommie, we need another fackin ep, get to work".

Carola left ELP quite a while ago. I think the last record he had anything to do with A&R wise is #22 with Henry Chow, but I'm not positive. He also quit the partnership with Corrado on ELP to focus more on music and less on business. Judging from last 3 or 4 times I've heard Carola play I think he's moved on from the classic Zenit sound. Quite a bummer because for a while Zenit was a greally great club techno label.
