Does anybody have an effective method for doing this?

have a method which worked for me couple of times.

first thing:you need spring or summer (big sun and no clouds).so you are lucky now

second:you need two pieces of glass ( the best are fat ones - 6mm or more )

if you have both then put one piece of glass on the ground on big sun then a record on it...and wait couple of minutes when it will be warm enough...then reverse record on other side and wait little...then put a second glass on vinyl and wait again...you have to be sure that the record is warm enough...then put your hands and knees on the corners of glass to press it well and wait enough to repair record...

    thats all.
it worked for me and i repaired couple of my records that were totally unplayable.

    i hope i helped you. ;)

Two pains of glass and some brown paper.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?

    You can borrow my mother.....

She can sit on it for a while....

thats how I usually do it...

nah seriously... getting a new copy probably works best...

just sell the old one on ebay, you probably loose some money but at least you dont have to start ironing and sh*t...

place the record flat over a hot mug of water

    get it centralised

    leave it............leave it..............no peeping

    I SAID NO PEEPING !!!!

then after 5 mins turn it over

after not peeping for ten minutes, lie it flat ( on turntable )

    hope for the best

are you allowed to put in a tea bag or coffee, so that way you can enjoy a nice brew, even if you've still got a warped record
Life is "trying things to see if they work"

Finally getting around to updating my site

I'm not quite sure what an airing cupboard is? Is it meant to be warm in there?

been using this method for about 12 years always works 80% effectively. Make sure you put a load of weight on it after too. Get rid of most warps.

its where you put your clothes affter taking them in off the line. usually has your water boiler in there so its generally quite warm.
