Couldn't agree more...Lame sound from the clips...No energy or drive...Doesn't do anything for me.. :(
after the success of 'the bells' i dont think its possible for him to ever match that. its a shame.

i like it - but it's pretty loopy :cheese:
really like this nice plodder really hypnotic. would expect hawtin or vath et al to play this kinda stuff
eh? he's done much better tracks than the "the Bells", that just happens to be THE signature Mills track.... and that was ten years ago, he's done alot of blinding stuff since thenOriginally Posted by da-prowler
this however is a bit lame
same old same old but would still sound v.good in a club
when i hear his music i feel sad, is it just me or there is someone else like me? :(
Androids new label \'SPARTEK\' out now!!!

nothing he does inspires me anymore... although "steps to enchantment - stringent" is still an all time fave of mine.
amazing.

Mills is one producer who would benefit from having his studio burn down, and having to start from scratch again. The Purpose Makers just get weaker and weaker unfortunately, someone needs to tell him.
Obviously this release isn't up to par with earlier releases on Purpose maker! however i think mill's style of production has mellowed like the every other mainstream producer! While they seem to be taking a slice of the minimal pie (a large one to)I feel mills's productions of late and as far back to 'The Divine ep' are all softer productions and not so club orientated!!
I personally liked this release, obviously not up to the same standard as earlier releases but c'mon if he consistently made records of that standard he'd bleed water as well!!

lots of the purpose maker records are not really interesting. so i wouldnt call this one a negative exception.

What!!!!!...............thats fuk'd up, infact i can pretty much guarantee no matter what type of techno you listen to, it has roots in Detroit Techno!!! C'mon man its the shit!
As for Mills...........well he seems to be on a money grabbing mission from what Ive been noticing lately, regardless of the fact that a bit of fame went to his head the lad is a serious reason why i bought turntables and not to mention started listening to Techno in general!!
Give Detroit Techno a better chance than you already have, you dont know what your missing!!

So. Behind their eyes the hope in them was sickening, and in many, dead. They lived from event to event with a subtle terror of the gap between, filling up their lives with distractions to avoid the emptiness where curiosity should have been, and breathing a gasp of relief when the children passed the point of asking questions about what life was for.
