    hey people, i am buying some 1210's in a couple of weeks, however, i am wondering if i wud be gaining much by paying the extra for mk5's. anyone no if its worth it, or the old mk2's just as good. cheers.

    i reckon definately go the mk5's... the difference with the accuracy on the pitch control is pretty big... the old ones all have the clicky bit at quartz and it ****s everything up when you're around the 0%... and it gets worse and worse with age too...

    whatever you can get cheaper IMO. all pretty much the same.

    if mixing around zero is awkward for you (which it isnt really) just move away slightly. no big deal.

    get the mk2's, if u get the 5's your used to the accuracy of them then in a club you'll play on the 2's and it'll be a little tricky. whereas if your used to the 2's when u play on the 5's in a club it soo easy
