    Default Best Free Reverb VST?

    yO. ;)

I have Glaceverb and Ambience which are both pretty decent (and free) but I was wondering if anyone knows of anymore quality free reverb plugins

gLaceverb is a bit heavy on CPU..

i think ambience is pretty damn cool - for the price (ie NOTHING) it rocks.

    sir from http://www.knufinke.de/sir/index_en.html

is good as well for convolution or convo boy lite from

    http://www.elevayta.com/

u just need some ir files from noisevault.com or somewhere else.

take care of the latency, though

Thats the shit right there Loopdon.

Glaceverb & Ambience are both superb but you can never have enough free reverb plugins when you dont live in Croatia.

Yes! I often like to use..."Roomworks", don't like it?
I think there are many quality reberbs away...but i prefer the balance of quality/cpu usage that native reverbs currently offer to me.
I like very much the ultimate convolution reverbs but for the most of uses i do, really i don't need that "power"...

I was always told that even a cheap hardware reverb unit would sound a squillion times better than any plugin.

I use the native reverb, low on CPU and fairly friendly GUI

    thoughts?

Probably true until the last few years.

These days, with convolution reverb becoming much more prevalent - not to mention the advent of DSP cards (e.g. UAD-1, Powercore) - you can get shit-hot reverbs in plugin form.

I just need to test how crap the rest of them sound compared to the one i made from just cardboard, sellotape & the big spare room in the local mental ward.

@stjohn. Yes it is amazing. ****ing big but good. How stupid of you to *lend* it to me. 45euros return on a train to Mayo and its yours again.

How the hell did you ever let it out of your hands? ;)
