Jus downloaded now geeza, and quality is sounding good, if anything just a little low!

Have you got a tracklist and what year are the tunes from.

    Nice 1

Will give a review when heard all of the mix

Yea would be appreciated mate. Had a listen up to about half way so far and really enjoyed it man! Every tune i liked and some of the melodies are sick. This old skool vibe and simply the production just proves this type of sound will never be beaten! The new stuff just doesnt grab you like this does!! Made up ive got this mix nice 1 geeza for puttin it up!! Mixing on the whole was really good, really fast which is always good as the energy will not drop, heard a couple slip but im not complaining as this mix is a monster, wont really here a tune selection as strong as this for 1h 37m!!
When your cueing really fast anyway a couple of mistakes will be made anyway innit.

    Nice 1!!

the older stuff are the hardest to mix :P some start on a skip beat, some start on just melodies.

there are only 2 ways you can guarantee a 100% mistake-free mix set

    (1) choose easy tunes that need little manipulation (a classics set is never easy as the tunes are always prominent in their own right, so trying to mix classic after classic is difficult when desiring a perfectly smooth sound). Notice how mzone would often mix quickly from one track to another. i prefer that style anyway.

    (2) be dj druid (or fishead)
Druid could pick any two records and mix it flawlessly. Hixxy once said Druid was the best mixer he has ever known. With or without hixxy's opinion, i thought the same.

old trance is hard to mix .... things all over the place. sometimes has to be a quick-fire mix if you want a smooth sound.

cheers for the mix. downloading now.

not really heard many of Druid's sets, but agree that Brisk is up there as one of the best.

Regards to our set, we could have done a better set, if it was rehearsed and recorded etc etc, but the shows are live and off the cuff. Iain brings some of his records and i bring some of mine, and we just go for it, so there will be mistakes here and there. But hey its just for the crack :cheese:

p.s. hope u didnt tune in on tuesday nite tho  ooofffff now that was a bad day at the office

Yeah i agree with that mate, obviously if you were doing a demo, you know where you are going to drop your tunes and how you want to structure your mixes.

Like i said i thought your mixing on the whole was very good, just said i heard a couple slip hence being live and the fast cueing and just going for it. Tune selection was top drawer!!

You can never guarantee it mate, cos any mix could slip out just a little. Even mixes you can get really tight so the beats are like filtering off 1 another, you could loose. Its just what happens. You can never guarantee a flawless or mistake free mix

Iver heard plenty of druid, what with the parties down here years ago. He only lives up the road from me as do quite a few of the hardcore djs, and i have to say ive never rated him
