Default Long promised Jomox xbase09 sample pack!

Here it is, my first attempt at autosampling this machine (via the program samplit). deffo only small extracts of the sounds the machine is capable of.. and please tell me if the noise levels are to high in the samples? can't really check atm... and some sounds are double.... hope you enjoy anyhow - will do a better set laters:

the hats and noise-snare and rimshot are pretty cool imo... the kick sounds pretty hardcore but if you shorten it and pitch it down it's pretty cool imho. will do a really decent pack laterz, though..

    i know :cheese:

so glad i finally dug out. never used it much, tbh. but now i am sending some midi patterns made up in fruity loops to it and having an additional acidic synth-/bassline from angular momentum's karbass vst play at the same time (don't think they are exactly in sync, mabe this adds to the flava?!) and i am just having so much fun. i think i will try and make some tracks this way. kinda minimal setup but i am really enjoying it SOOO much right now. not being spoilt so much for choices atm. oldskool and hands on which i seerm to have been missing when making tunes. the way i can fiddle with the kickdrum controls and adjust to fit the bassline etc. is just great. and the presence and punch the jomox has seems to be quiet different than using samples, dunno why.

the jomox xbase 999 is out now, too:

How different are they from stock standard 909 samples?

Ah, so a nice boomy 808 kick crossed with a punchy 909 kick i guess...

If only I had $360... sigh

there's loads of different settings esp. for the kickdrum- you can play with the decay(up to 2 secs)/attack...tone and pitch and other stuff. pretty nice, i'd say + knobs for harmonics, noise, pulse, eq (lowpass for a more 808ish feel)
