Maybe you might try syncing your 808 to the 909. You could pick up a Korg KMS30 sync box for cheap (approx $100-200 on ebay) and use this to sync your 808. Not exactly midi, but works a charm. 909 and 808 will then run super tight together (and can have 909/RS7000/Computer as master). With the KMS30 you get 1 midi In and 2 midi out plus, 1 din in and 2 din out. So, you can sync up probably all your gear with the one Korg box (or something similar). You might know all this, cause you got all that gear, but I thought I'd offer the idea anyway. Also, you can sync the 808 ( or 303) to the 909 by sticking the midi-din plug in only 1/2 way. Again, its not midi, but it is an 808. Goodluck.
