ive said nothin against it. ppl should hear what they like. uk wasnt referred to the country where the labels are located. it was referred to that typical pounding grooves, dave the drummer (nothing wrong with them tho) etc. sound.

i find it a bit boring when 8 out of 10 guys name labels with almost the same sound. and ONLY these labels. electronic music is such a wide field.
eh? whats uk boom boom techno then? i live in the uk and i dont know what you mean. very confusing

it's a fave label thread, there are no pre-requsite's as to what a person can and cant post. If i wanted to know what people's top dark labels were, i'd of said "what are your fave dark labels", same if i wanted to know what peoples fave electronica label was and so on and so forth. It's just a simple fave label's thread, chill out

the pounding grooves/drummer sound is london acid techno, pretty short sighted to dismiss the whole country as uk boom boom just like that. There's alot more goes on over here than that, quite judgemental to lump everyone in the same bracket

hmmm i dont agree. Blackout the label maybe a boom boom label i guess in some people's opinion, but as a whole the forums have a much wider spectrum, or at least that's the aim surely? Hence all the sub-forums

Not all the UK is boom boom...... there's also minimal and the classic electro-house.

    you really believe that? ;)

Boa is a hard techno website/forum. Yeah sure a few listen to other stuff the odd time by mistake in record shops but..c'mon.
If it was an electronic music forum then we wouldnt need sub forums.

I'm not gettin stroppy. I just thought fac was being silly acting all surprised when a whole load of people listed hard techno labels as their favourites. I wasnt exactly expecting any miraculous revelations.

man... as i wrote: i'm talkin about the typical sound. uk boom boom is just a synonym (maybe not a good one but only a synonym). i could also have used german boom boom (clr etc.).

yeah 7 page's and a near argument. well a misunderstanding of sorts. Just seemed pretty dismissive to call most of the labels mentioned so far as uk boom boom, there are labels from all different countries listed so was an unfair stereotype certainly fair to say.

    ;)

    warp.
So. Behind their eyes the hope in them was sickening, and in many, dead. They lived from event to event with a subtle terror of the gap between, filling up their lives with distractions to avoid the emptiness where curiosity should have been, and breathing a gasp of relief when the children passed the point of asking questions about what life was for.
