2 quick mixer questions in Cubase SX2

Hi all.

Befor I get RTFMed I did consult the manual and help file, but couldn't find anything. Sorry if it's a bit of an obvious question too, I'm fairly new to Cubase.

Firstly is it possible to hide arbitrary channels in the mixer? I HATE having Battery spew out 30 channels that I'm not going to even use. Can't see the forest for the trees in the end.

Also, I'd like to know if it's possible to select multiple channels and then assign them all to one group in one action instead of manually having to click at the top of each channel and select "Group 1" or something.

Yay, I just answered my second question myself after some fiddling around... hold down Alt with the tracks you want to assign highlighted in the mixer.
