    Default m.i.k.e (Bonzai)

    i have recently (re)discovered the bonzai sound, and ordered a shitload of bonzai vinyl yesterday (at a great price too!!!). i am into techno of all varieties in a big way and have been for years, but lately have found myself drifting back to my roots!! i grew up with trance, and what with techno, harder trance etc over the last few years have slipped away from the sound i loved so much!! i have just bought an Allen and Heath Xone 62 and suddenly my passion 4 progressive and tech trance has sprung back to life!! is any1 else on this forum into bonzai style trance?? i also like uplifting trance (i know bonzai can be uplifting but im talking about armin kinda stuff), but am very picky with it!! if any1 has any suggestions on labels i should check out to discover new tribal techy trance, i would very much like to hear from you. i have some money to blow at the moment and i plan to cain alot of it on trance!!! any help would be great!! cheers.... Love the Bonzai sound mate! To be honest i would class all of Bonzai as Uplifting Trance. I have just been buying loads of Old Skool Hard Trance lately, nothing too old, the sound i love most is prob from the earliest 99 - 2004 (top end)
    Purchased some minters from the likes of (Labels) - Propeller, Phonetic, Harem, Bonzai and Sonar to name a few.
    Where did you snap up your Bonzai stuff and for how much?

    sweet .. would love to go to that, but cant be assed to drive to london.. such a mission from here. i saw him play at global gathering a few years ago, and was a cracking atmosphere!! i am gonna start attending more trance events.. im a bit sick of the same old round here,, hardstyle is boring the shit out of me now, apart from a very few little numbers... and there is no trance played in hereford whatsoever!! but we are planning to go to sensation white next yearr!!

    MIKE is immense, im not overly into his uplifting sound now. It seems to have been the same for years, but his techier/grungier stuff Im really into.

    Just seen this thread just now. M.I.K.E. is without a doubt, one of, if not, the greatest trance producer. Maybe I'm slightly biased seeing as I worship the guy, but I just think you're hard pushed to find a producer who has consistantly delivered the good's with as much quality as him. Even the likes of Oliver Lieb, much as I appreciate his stuff, I just don't think anyone comes close.

    I'm not really so keen on some of the more techy stuff he's done of late, but I just got the Plastic Boy remix he did of his tune Slavation, off his Perfect Blend album and it's a belter. Probably just as good as Live Another Life or Twixt!!!!

    Also, recently, I heard a sample of the Push Dub Remix of Alex Bartlett - Amnesia. I don't know when it's supposed to be coming out but it's f**kin' class. Just like his old stuff. Hopefully, there's gonna be more Plastic Boy/Push stuff coming in the near future. Finger's crossed!!!!

    I used to go the site a lot, but to keep using it, you have to configure your router to allow folk to upload from you. I'm too f**kin' dumb to be able to do this!!! but even if you can't manage to set up your router for this, you'll still be able to grab the lot of the M.I.K.E. set's before your ratio goes too low. Just if any of you's are interested. I just looked on it and there's still about 9 people seeding the files, so you should get them no bother!!!!!!:;

    Deffo an immense producer, and i would say Scot Project is in this same league regarding production and consistancy.

    Yeah hopefully more work under his 'push' name, love his older stuff more!
