Anyone see the assault on Portsmouth player Pedro Mendez made by Manchester City's Thatcher ? ****in disgraceful that was

never seen such a blatent elbow in my life, what the hell did the guy do to deserve that

must of bummed his kids cause that was fierce.

If you ain't seen it yet then imagine the elbows you have seen before & add a 30 yard run up & your their.

I thought they were just keeping him in for observation? But yeah, that was well out of order, did he get booked so they can't give him a retrospective ban? If he gets away with that it'll be a disgrace...

He'll get a ban,the FA won't sit back on this. (IMO) You can't just do drive by elbows upside the head in top flight football.

Then Thatcher should be assessed for mental health problems and diagnosed as a dangerous phsycopath. then banned from football until his meds kick in.

I have just seen the video on Skysports.com, i watched it about 5 times trying to find an excuse for Thatcher but there is none, he has totally poleaxed him and full speed. Think thats probably why the ref only booked him as probably thought it was just a late chellenge and never seen the forearm as that speed.

He has to get a ban, f*ck me if Rooney gets a 4 match ban for slightly touching a players face when winning a header then this guy should get banned for 20 games.

In the shit now boy, Greater Manchester police to investigate Thatcher's "challenge" on Mendez which left him unconcious & suffering from seizures.

FA also deciding if they can dish out further punishment under exceptional curcumstances.

I think Colin Hendry did a worse elbow in an international, elbowed someone in the throat, both really nasty though.

It would have been shocking if had been a different team, but the fact he plays for the skate cunts makes it great.
