ok ok i get all your points when i say i had been playing it for years, what i meant to say or meant was i had been playing and ghetto stuff for years but i feel the ghetto tech is only coming into its own recently, moe people are playing it :cheese: so its getting popular and a few artists i have been talikng to about all agree so i thought i'd put the thread outOriginally Posted by darkside

chicago hard house was around a decade before the "uk" hard house was around, in fact i used to play what was known as hard house and that was about 6 years before the first pheonix rising release which aparently was the first hard house trackOriginally Posted by mattboyslim
ghetto tech has been around for longer than half the current producers in techno! nothing new about it, some amazing stuff around, and some utter, utter garbage, like most off-shoots of techno, but certainly nothing new
and yeah ghetto tech isnt hard house beats with a compulsory "ghetto" vocal over it
proper ghetto tech check Slugo, Dj Hyperactive, Dj Funk, Skitzo etc etc
yeah people need to stop getting confused with that face down ass up thing, its a sample thats been on ****ing loads of things but more noticably the awful remixes with clowns like anne savage etc on it. Absolute pile of toss.
it's not coming into its own only now at all, what a strange thing to say, people have been dropping ghetto bombs in their sets for as long as i can remember. Ive seen Dave Clarke do nearly full on ghetto/booty (its the same thing guys come on) like over 8, 9 years ago and pretty much any techno dj worth their salt have been using ghetto tracks in their sets since techno practically began. The newer influx of harder stuff like Bam Bam and the 50hz crew have been at it a few years even now aswell, dont understand all this ghetto is the future of techno stuff, very strange

some ghetto tech is cool, but some is just down right cheesy, simple 808 pattern with a vocal sample that goes "bang it bang it bang it"
but that dj bam bam sound is pretty phat, i'd like to hear more of that stuff
