Default 27-10-06 DROP THE BOMB V (Lasse Steen, Jamie Bissmire)

After the overwhelming success of Drop The Bomb IV it’s now time for another instalment in London’s darkest hardcore party event…

DROP THE BOMB V: Excess Mental Energy
    Fri 27th Oct 2006
    22:00 - 06:00
    £10 adv

Hidden (formerly Studio 33 / The Chunnel Club)
    100 Tinworth Street
    Vauxhall
    London
    SE11 5EQ
    (0207) 8201171

Room 1: Early Rave / Hardcore Techno / Speedcore / Terror

CHOOSE (Drop Bass Network, Denmark) - live

Lasse Steen aka Dark Sessions, Dark Unitz, Earl Of Reformation, Fast Identities, Fields Of Defacement, Further Individual Control, Launch, P. Server, Rank, Rules Of Anger, Senical, Skullblower, Tease and in groups Formalities and Sons of Gundso.

After a long absence from the hardcore scene Lasse Steen will be returning for an exclusive 60min one-off live set. Lasse is renowned for his unique, dark and intelligent acid hardcore sounds made famous on labels such as Drop Bass Network, Fischkopf and Acid Assault as well as his more brutal and un-relenting hardcore techno projects under the pseudonyms Senical and Skullblower on Six Sixty Six and Killing Rate. Lasse is one of the most highly respected artists amongst underground hardcore supporters, this is his first appearance in the UK and a special chance to witness one of the true innovators in action.

REANIMATOR (Knor / Ruffneck / Cunt Recs, Netherlands)

Patrick Moerland aka Brain Damage, Cold Turkey , Pinhead, Psykopunk, Vinyl Killer

One of the legends of the Rotterdam gabber scene having played at all the large Dutch raves from way back in 1993 at A Nightmare in Rotterdam, Hellraiser, Ghostown, Megarave, Shadowlands and many more. He had his first hit with ‘Bigger and Bolder’ released on Knor records, then under the name Pinhead he produced the classic ‘Slammin Beatz’ on Ruffneck Recs which still gets played by many early rave DJs today. More recently he has produced terror tracks for Drokz’ label Cunt Recs. Reanimator rarely performs these days and so it is a great privilege for Drop The Bomb to showcase such an established DJ.

    SIMON UNDERGROUND (Underground Music)

Industrial beats, hip-hop breaks and hardcore kicks, with a little turntablism thrown in for fun is his style. Now regularly playing at raves large (25,000+ !) and small all over Holland, Germany, Austria and beyond.

    TRAFFIK (Energy FM)

It all started way back in the late 1980s with the emergence of hip-hop and then acid house for Traffik and once the hardcore rave scene exploded he never looked back. Creator of some of the finest hardcore techno to come out of the UK, Traffik is never more comfortable than when he is spinning his home town.

    JEFF AMADEUS (Squat Recs, France)

A regular DJ at underground warehouse parties in London, playing on Malfaiteurs sound system amongst others, Jeff now regularly receives bookings for parties all over Europe.
He is regarded as, technically, one of the best new hard/hardcore techno DJs around and for this event Jeff will be spinning on his trademark 3 decks.

    THE DEXORCIST (Audio Illusion)

Playing acid, hardcore and techno since 1990 at warehouse parties, Teknivals and clubs all over the world The Dexorcist has more recently made his name with harsh electro and breakcore tracks on labels such as Audio Illusion and SMB. For this event The Dexorcist returns to his roots for a set of early rave music.

    NEKRO

Illegal warehouse rave survivor, with more than ten years experience spinning hardcore techno. Nekro shows his versatility behind the decks by spinning a set of hard acid and classic hardcore techno for this party.

Room 2: Dirty Pounding Techno (hosted by Section 63)

JAMIE BISSMIRE (Space DJz / 50Hz)
ROWLAND THE BASTARD (Bionic / Infected)
MARC AXEL vs FABSID (Chemical Warfare)
    KAI_1 vs RHYTHM LOGISTICS (www.SECTION63.net)
    PABLO (Section 63)
    G13 (Section 63)

The venue, HIDDEN, has now completed its refurbishment and boasts an outdoor terrace chill out area as well as offering special drinks promotions especially for this event! The sound system in the main room is regarded by many as one of the best installed in any club in London. The Turbosound hi-light series delivers 25k of crystal clear sound, extra time will be taken for this party so that it is tuned up perfectly to deliver the best quality sound for this style of music.
