    Default reccomend me some stuff to listen to

    im into a few bands but i expect im missing out on alot of good stuff.
    sort of stuff i like is= white stripes, raconteurs, frank black and the catholics, the coral, the zutons, mercury rev do some good stuff.
    i have just discovered arcade fire who are quality.

    so... thats the sort of stuff i like can anyone advise me on other stuff to track down?

    and the libertines are awsome, totally missed out on them at the time but picked up there albums a few months back and loving every second

    Dirty Pretty Things are the band that the Libertines became without Pete Doherty and their album 'Waterloo To Anywhere' is quite good, i recommend that...

    At the moment I reckon its all about the Fratellis, they are sheer quality, best thing I've heard in ages.

    cant handle the libertines, i hate pete doherty too much. cheers for the links Col, i like them all but Tv on th e radio and the guillemots stand out, will give the rest another listen as i only flicked through them all quickly.
    would be interested in more, cheers ;)

    admittedly it is hard to get past the fact that the guys a total dick but its about time someone brought a punk rock slurred vocal to this kind of music, even if it is because hes fuked on crack and heroin all the time,,, cheers too for those links col enjoying some of that

    No worries.

    Check out "Tv On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain" I know quite a few people consider it the best record this year thus far.

    "Guillemots - Through The Windowpane" is another record recieving much critical acclaim. It was recently considered for the Mecury Music Prize too.

    Will post some more links soon...
