well i havent posted for a a while...
just thought id tell you about my set in Oldham about 2 weeks ago, i was well chufed with it...

i was Lisa's 21st b-day we know her from Species and going out to club,
me, tug, batty & big worm where palying, i drove up there, got there about 9.00pm, some guy was playing dunno his name, we weh and got a few drinks, said hello etc, this guy was using a Gemini mixer, and to be honest the sound quality was crap... Good job Big W brought his Vestax07.

It was a basic set up 4 speekers, 350W rms per channel, sound quiet on that Gemini mixer though.

The guy put his last tune on at about 9.52pm, so i started un-plugging things and setting up the Vestax 07 for my set (10-11), this guy was palying like D-boy gabber, fast BUT not so hard...

The first tune i played was Virtualacid (suntec), **** me the Vestax mixer made all the differance to the sound, it was well louder, and those of you who know Vitualacid know what its like when the 8th beet kicks it... BEAST! it sounded well loud and clear, and realy Ard compaired to what the other guy had been playing so i was well chuffed.

The Set went basicaly
Acid, hard style, hard style, hard trance, hard trance, hard style, hard style, hard style, hard style, hard trance, hard style,

First 5 mixes where tight as.. at one stage the girl came up to me and asked me if i could play some happy hardcore, haha, "er no", "ask tug" i said, "he's got some in his box" haha.

anyway after like the 5th or so mix, all the wanna-be Mc's got on the go, and i could hardly hear what i was doing it was quite difficult, there wasnt even a monitor..

There was a small crowd around aswell, and people dancing which was nice to see, except it was a bit distracting when your in MID MIX and you've got one shot at it.

I palyed wildstyle generation pt2, then I Will Be Master, they loved it.. next tune was Rush on Stright on recs, there was a few people dancing around by the decks, and someone knocked them in mid mix of Tommy Pulse & Rush, so had to mix it another way which didnt turn out aswell as i had planned, (not teribile, but if it had been done right it would have been a beast of a mix, if you know what i meen)

anwayz finished the set, fealing happy about it. had more confidence this time so it all went alot better.

the other ladz played there sets and we got off home about 1.30am, droped everyone off and got in bed at 4am,, then up at 8am to go to work! haha, then after work i went home got changed and went to town and got pissed, all on a stright head..

Nice one Karl, sounded like a top night mate, good to see yer gettin yer confidence up mixin out mate...

Should of snapped the vinyl over that Ku*ts head, who knocked the Dexx though. ;)
