[8bitapocalypse]

Always inspired by film soundtracks (particularly the work of John Carpenter) these four tracks meld rough electro beats and breaks with filmic strings and samples (“Guild Report” uses samples from “Dune” to great atmospheric effect). In many ways Sol_Dat are the purist electro side to [k]racktroni[k], although this EP is actually far from purist in nature. Listen closely and you will hear elements of 2-step, breaks, techno, Chicago house and more nestling securely in the mix – but always with that unique Sol_Dat production style and of course their killer melodies.
