Yeah kinda see where you are comin from, but if you are dropping equal measures of classics and new stuff, then i dont see that as really goin forward.... i usually have 2 or 3 classics of different genres in my box, and will play 1 or 2 of them if im playing.
If people are wanting to hear the tunes, they know... then leave it too judge jules. If not... its up to urself to showcase new music?
But then isn't DJ'ing about pleasing the crowd? Surely a set mixed nicely of the two excites the crowd better, by hearing the occasional tune they know and then blowing them away with dosages of new material, works for me mate....
Each to there own dude, suppose its wat makes me, ME. and you, YOU!
But gotta remember, that a lot of people who are goin to a club, go for new tunes or to here a particuler dj? People who are not into their music as much will proberly still get full of it and jump around to anything with a decent kick in it?
