I dont know why steinberg are prepared to release software that contains so many bugs, seems contrary to what a producer of any type of product is supposed to do.

Having said that software manufacturers decided years ago not to be held accountable for anything they do...just read the terms and conditions of any soft that you install. They wash their hands of all responsibilities concerning their product and basically leave it to you to sort out the problems. At least some of them bother to beta test before hand - propelerheads testing of reason25 is a prime example. The software is awesomely stable.

Just as a side note a teaching friend of mine was working with steinberg the summer just gone and said that he had met charlie steinberg and that charlie still does the majoity of coding on cubase, so i guess you could lay the blame at charlies door, or steinberg being bought out by pinnacle coul have resulted in a rushed product, this is most probably the best explanation.

I guess as end users we will all have to suffer the consequences of commercial decisions......

Good Luck!
