Well it ISNT ....its a production question and a good one at that. Tempo is a fundamental question and those who are interested in the nitty gritty are only to be applauded.

It is a boring internet topic though. some people like it fast, some like it slow. It's up to the DJ and producers to play / make the techno they like at the speed they like and if others take a shine to it then so be it.

next you'll be asking what key people prefer their percussion in or whats the optimum number of high hats per bar ;)

was i talking to you? No! So chill out

of course the subject matter is going to be stupid, that's why it's a pisstake thread. i know this, you know i know this - so why get shirty with me?

i hope this is the end of the matter because there's nothing more pointless than arguing with someone that agrees with you *rolleyes*

    OMG. What a revelation.

You think that we dont know this? My mother knows this.

Why dont you actually go and read the thread. ANYONE who took this seriously needs to leave BOA and join the police or get a job in a bank or something.

I think this is an interesting thread, not least for the fact that it's got some people quite hot under the collar.
Personally I like lots of different types of bpms, I think anyone who has settled on one exact bpm from which they'll never change, needs to ask themself some questions.

It was a PRODUCTION question (thats my belief anyway) and such deserved a decent answer. Mostly thats what it got...

And as for we are all brothers of techno quip - in your dreams mate. We are NOT all brothers of techno and this is what gets my goat. People pretend to be yet are not, the attitude stinks. And YES my attitude DOES stink TOO. im man anough to admit that and man enough to qualify my comments.

After speaking to a close friend last night i realise i may have misjudged rowland personally and for that i sincerely apologise, i also apologise for effectively hijacking a thread with my rants. Sorry.

I stand by what i said about the response from rowland though, not the personal comments - but the negativity that smells. And why not take the thread seriously? It was a serious thread asked by someone who wanted to know.

If anyone wants my advice (i suspect you dont ) i can be contacted via PMs, i've already done enough damage here and wont be taking part much in BOA activities generally in the near future.. and no i dont want people to say "Dont leave" it isnt one of 'those' pathetic threads begging for attention, i genuinley have commitments elsewhere that are sapping my time...

    Have a nice day.

    PS - TFI friday... :briggin:

I really don't get you're point here. You trying to say that some of us listen to techno, DJ and/or produce techno, go to techno clubs and chat on techno forums yet do not like techno?

Or that you get so overly absorbed in your self need to be anal about the niche of techno you preach, that you've forgotten how to enjoy the music, the people and the scene?

Err. no mate. I meant brotherhood - something you clearly know NOTHING about. i said me contribution is over and it is.
