Yeah, id partition it off. Another thing you could do is create 3 partitions. 1 for the basic os, 1 for programs, 1 for samples and storage. This means you can do a full os reinstall and know you wont lose any data. Check how much room all your samples and stuff take up at the moment and then make a guess on how much more space you will need in that partition in the near future, then partition it acordingly.

i have about 15gb set aside for Windows... that should be more than enough.
Then one for Audio, one for Progams & Storage..

if possible create a Ghost Image of a healthy windows drive, saves a full reinstall. its a cunt sometimes to re authorize every plug in

i reckon a bit more for programs...depends tho.. if you ever get stuck you could just put some on the audio drive i spose.

tbh tho, a friend runs programs as well as streams audio from his USB hd... so you might get a away with it, just as long as its not everything.

I would go for 30gb program files and 70 for samples. When you will need different size you can always adjust later with programs like Partition Magic, or similar.
