Liverpool need to get a quality centre back with pace - someone like Ledley King. They look so ordinary there sometimes. I think Alonso and Gerrard are their real quality players but Pennant and Garcia either side of them are just not good enough espeically if you want to compare to Ronaldo and Giggs.

spot on.we need to buy proven quality,ive been saying it for years.gets on your tits eventually.
thats why i hope this takeover goes through,then we can compete in the transfer market for the best players,then hopefully on the field with the best teams.

I agree. At the back, theyre ok- could do with more pace indeed. Central midfield is fine,
wingers are a joke. average.

It's funny that the mighty Barcelona stand in the way of them saving their season, arguably the best team in europe, but I hope Liverpool beat them and reckon they can do it.
