while surfing through discogs.com i came across this:

which is Akira Inc. - Superstring
So it appears that the version of 'superstring' they played wasn't produced by cygnus x at all, so... question answered!!!

im after the same tune akira inc is just a remix production. but then there are cynus x 1996 remixes on eye q. i was pretty sure its the akira though
