yeah wtf happened there??? north were doing some top notch nights at lakota, they had it sussed proper....I'd like to know the reasons, theres gonna be a lot of disapointed ravers out there...expect a monster line-up in feb tho...you know it...

NORTH INFORMATION
Dear all,
after a hell of a lot of thought & very careful consideration I've
decided it's time to bring an end to "North"

Other commitments have had to take presidence lately & although
I've had various different offers from people wanting to buy or run
or fund North, however, none have really suited the way I've run
the club over the last 7 years.
In that time we've promoted or co promoted what will be 100 events
n february of next year & seen over 1/2 million people attend our
events.. It's been an amazing journey; we've had some great times
& hope you have too.
But as they say all good things have to come to an end..
so make sure you visit us at one of our last 3 events EVER....
Nov 1st - Lakota, Bristol
Dec 6th - Lakota, Bristol
Feb 7th - Lakota, Bristol

On 7th Feb 2004 we will stage a monumental 4 arena event @ Lakota..
like you've never seen before.. this WILL be our biggest & best event
& the line up will be announced over the next couple of weeks...

thanks again to all of you who have helped out over the last 8 years
your help has been invaluable & I hope I can see you all at one of our
last 3 events..
If you're reading this & you've never been to a North event well this
is your last chance so make sure you get down to one of our last events..

Once again a massive thanks goes out to all the djs that have supported
us over he last 7 years, all of you who have helped out in any way at all
in that time & to all of you who've attended & made our parties what they
are....

Its a dam shame :cry: but nothing lasts for ever.

To hear about this shocked me as I would say North was one of only a few regular decent underground event going & it seemed to me that it was probably the biggest & most popular. It has certainly been my favorite night out scince the Country club closed.

That Feb One is Gona be a Monster though,

One thing which i cant grasp on that email is that he wont let anyone else run the night for him, Whats the point in closing down a club thats got such a good repuation in the UK Underground and is very popular, hes said hes even had offers from people, im sure theirs hundreds of people out there who wud love to run north, and not for the Money,
