    Nice loop there!

I agree with rhythmtech that the highs are sizzling nicely but i think they are too loud. Looking in a spectrum analyzer it almost looks like the eq is one line from bottom to top. I'd try to tone down them highs.
They aren't really piercing i would say and the soundspace is nice and open but..

I fear if you don't ears will bleed on the dancefloors. If the eq slope was more like \ than __ i think it would do this tune favour.

Maybe it's even more like a smiley face eq form \ / but nevertheless:

pull down them highs, i know one is always tempted to pile them up because ears get used to the sound playing so quickly and say: just a little bit more...

Very catchy loop though and nice production values alltogether.

Maybe compare the spectrum to some published tunes or something from time to time to see if you are overdoing it in the highs department. :)

    ok i downloaded both versions
and i agree with the rest of the gang,
i see you brought up the kick drum in the second clip
but i would like to hear some bass line or low end rumble of some kind
i think it would fill the hole in the loop

also the highs need some taming again

    hope this helps
