It's surely better to play your 2nd leg away, then you know what you've got to do, rather than having a vague aim of getting an away goal and getting hammered, that's what Valencia did the first time they reached the final, teams got an away goal, but got hammered in the Mestalla and had no chance of turning it around at home.
