Its Horses for Courses for Croach and England. There are certain games when he is a good option but to be fair we don't have many options. Rooney hasn't scored a International goal for 3 years and i can't remember his last assist.

He went 2 years without scoring in the CL too, dunno why people reckon he's our best player when Gerrard scores more goals and is the complete player.

Rooney is that link from midfield to the striker. I think he is a little over rated maybe but he is still young and think he will prove any doubter wrong.

When him and Owen are on their game and fit they have linked up very well in the past.

The problem with Rooney he seems to get wound up very easily and players target this - probably another sign of still being young.
