    Default Technoboy - Bombsquad

    Peoples thoughts?

It's well produced... a little different than what I was expecting...

I don't like it. I think he should have released this as Dj Gius rather than Technoboy. I've heard a lot of people say that Technoboy stuff is to samey lately, that he uses the same samples too much, the same bassline too much. For me this was not too much of a problem because I thought he always brought something different into each track, maybe not much, but enough to keep his sound fresh.

This is what happens when he bows to pressure and does a track with a new bassline - it doesn't work too well. All the way to the bitter end of both sides of the record I was just hoping for a big, typical Technoboy bass to come in, and I feel most people will too. The track isn't bad in any way, far from it, it's just not what most people want to hear from Technoboy - Dj Gius, maybe, but not Technoboy.

Agree with you Voorheez its not a bad track, but not suited to the Technoboy name at all. The bassline isnt strong enough, and the trancy riff isnt what I associate with Technoboy. There are enough fresh elements in there to convince me that he hasn't gone stale (as I was beginning to think after Tales From A Vinyl, and Tuneboy - Dirty).

The B side is a bit meatier. Both are very early-set tunes though, and to be honest I can't see the problem with this diversion from his usual peaktime anthems. B side is actually something I would consider playing, I like the rhythm percussion elements, and that main buildup is mad! If only i dropped into a massive raking bassline after that, it would be amazing!
