OK, so I'm having some issues with my mixer - an Ecler SMAC Pro 40.
Every now and then the left-hand deck looses the right hand channel, but it comes back again if I fiddle around with a combination of the crossfader and the two main channel faders.
It's well out of warranty and replacement faders are much cheaper than a new mixer, so I'm going to (perhaps foolishly) try and fix it myself.
My question is this: How can I go about figuring out which fader is buggered - if, indeed, that's the problem at all...?

Did you get anywhere with this? I would say take the crossfader out and see if that cures the problem. Im not sure on how that mixer is routed, but most of them will just work on the up faders when the xfader is taken out. If that cures it then its your xfader, if it doesnt, then its not. You could then try the same technique with the up fadersm and also switch the upfaders around, if the problem changes onto the other deck, then you know which fader it is. Im not sure tho, it deppends on the mixer.
