Biography Bas Mooy / The Netherlands

During the last decade Rotterdam home-based dj/producer Bas Mooy
(1976) has been active on many fronts in the global techno-scene. In
2002 he started the well respected label Audio Assault with labelpartner
Jeroen Liebregts, which resulted in the birth of sublabel Arms in 2003. In
2006 he kickstarted Syndikaat, a two division company, which can be
divided into a recordlabel and a bookingsagency, representing many of
todays (inter)national topjocks. Over the years Bas has been a resident
and member of Dutch collectives such as Exposure of Sound, Compound,
Strictly Techno, Phaze!1, Resonance and Inside. Beside that he is also
hosting a monthly evening at Bootleg, providing a stage for locals and
upcoming talent since 2001.

Bas has been working the decks at many established Dutch
venues/parties such as Awakenings, De Effenaar, Doornroosje,
Waterfront, Het Paard van Troje, Nighttown and Simplon, but also played
at many clubs and festivals throughout Europe and the US, playing in
countries such as Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Austria, Scotland, USA,
Croatia, United Kingdom and Germany.
